Our school thrives thanks to the unwavering dedication and support of our community. These incredible groups play a crucial role in enriching the lives of our students and ensuring the smooth operation of events at our school. With their efforts, we provide an enhanced, vibrant and nurturing environment the students need to flourish.
Churches
Our dedicated pastors play a vital role in supporting the school community. They lead services on campus and provide spiritual guidance. As faculty and staff, we are also dedicated to giving time to our churches. By fostering a strong moral and ethical foundation, together we help nurture the spiritual growth and development of our students, creating a supportive and compassionate environment.
Alumni
From planning reunions to organizing events, our alumni volunteers keep the community engaged and connected. Their efforts help maintain strong ties between former students and the school, fostering a sense of continuity and lifelong support.
Home and School Organization
The Home and School Organization is the backbone of our school's community spirit. Christina Dalmas, Amy Kim and Angela Streif led our HSO this last year and coordinated various events, namely, the Color Run. All of which benefit our students, staff, and families. Their creativity and dedication bring our school community closer together.
Garden Program
Our garden program is a hands-on learning experience that teaches students about sustainability, biology, and the importance of healthy eating. Our volunteers help maintain the garden, guide students in planting and harvesting, and integrate garden-based learning into the curriculum. Their work not only beautifies our school grounds but also provides invaluable educational opportunities for our students.
Local Colleges
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Matt Cowell at Napa Valley Community College and the Pacific Union College Film Department. By granting us access to their state-of-the-art performing arts centers and film equipment, they provide our students with exceptional opportunities for creative expression and technical learning. Their generosity enhances our educational programs and helps our students achieve their artistic and academic goals.
Pathfinders
Students from grades 5 and above at Napa Christian have the opportunity to participate in Pathfinders, a program that meets at the Napa Community Church, Tuesday evenings. The club is directed by RoseAnn Dalmas who can be reached at roseann.dalmas@nccsda.com
Pathfinders are a worldwide organization of young people sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, though young people of any religious persuasion, or none at all, are welcomed and encouraged to join the organization.
Pathfinders offer a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:
- Camping & camping/survival skills
- Grade appropriate leadership training
- Activities promoting community pride & involvement through outreach activities such as helping in downtown soup kitchens, collecting food for the disadvantaged, cleaning & maintaining city and county parks, visiting and encouraging the elderly, and MANY more
- Interactive training in a variety of recreational, artistic, nature, conservation, vocational, and outreach areas, with awards (honors) given for successful completion of the interactive training modules
- Personal care and encouragement by a caring staff member! While many school classrooms have 10-30 students per teacher, Pathfinders offers AT LEAST a 1 staff member to every 5 Pathfinder ratio!
